Key Focus Areas
Our CSR strategy is a core strategic commitment that goes beyond legal obligations or charity; it is a fundamental part of our business operations. Rooted in the vision of Padmashree Late Dr. Appasaheb Pawar, we strive to uplift farming communities and ensure inclusive growth by “Linking the Basics” between farmers, consumers, and stakeholders.
Our initiatives primarily serve rural India, with a focus on women, children, farmers, and disadvantaged communities in Maharashtra.
Through our flagship association with the Agricultural Development Trust (ADT), established in 1971, we provide modern education to over 35,000 students.
● Sharadanagar Education Campus: A 240-acre facility housing 15 institutes offering programs from primary school to PhDs in agriculture, dairy, and pharmacy.
● Infrastructure Support: Provision of e-learning materials, computers, and essential school infrastructure like bicycle sheds and sanitation facilities for local schools.
● Vocational Training: Skill development camps to enhance employability and livelihood for rural youth.
We prioritize the well-being of our community through accessible medical services:
● Free Medical Camps: Regular check-ups, blood donation drives, and specialized curative camps (eye, dental, and cataract).
● Awareness Programs: Educating the community on mother/child care and HIV/AIDSprevention.
● Support during disasters, e.g., aid for Uttarakhand tragedy relief.
BAL is committed to ecological balance and resource conservation:
● Tree Plantation: Large-scale distribution of native species; over 53,000 trees were planted between January 2023 and June 2024.
● Renewable Energy: Installation of solar street lights in rural areas to improve safety and infrastructure.
● Water Management: Initiatives in watershed development, rainwater harvesting, and providing safe drinking water to nearby villages.
We empower farmers to improve yields and economic stability:
● Technical Support: Free soil and water analysis services and advisory support.
● Agri-Tourism: Promoting the rural economy in association with the Agri-Tourism Development Organization.
